Sumy State University

The Sumy State University was founded in 1948. Today the students of the university are trained in more than 30 specialties. The academic and practical training complex, which includes more than 20 educational institutions was developed on the basis of the university. The university comprises:

• 10 faculties;
• Military Artillery Institute;
• Engineering complex;
• 15 teaching-consulting centres in different cities of Ukraine and abroad.

About 500 lecturers work at 48 departments, including 45 Professors and Doctors of Science, 300 Assistant Professors and Candidates of Sciences. The university has close scientific relations with research centres of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, different universities of Austria, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, the USA, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, CIS.

The SSU is a member of International Association of Universities (IAU), European Association of International Education (EAIE), International Union of Business Economy, International Society of Engineers.

Traditionally the students of the SSU win a lot of prize places among the classical universities at the Ukrainian student Olympiads.

The SSU graduates work in 15 countries of the world.
